On behalf of Organizing Committee, we are honoured to invite you to the 47th Annual National Conference of Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology (ISBTI), TRANSCON-2022 B to be held from 11th - 13th November, 2022 at Jammu-the City of Temples.

The theme of the Conference is “Trends, Advances and Future Frontiers in Transfusion Medicine”.

This Annual Conference will be hosted by ISBTI J&K UT Chapter in collaboration with Department of Transfusion Medicine Government Medical College Jammu. It will be a special and unique event being the first in person National Conference of ISBTI since COVID-19 pandemic.

The primary goal of the TRANSCON-2022 B conference is to bring the Transfusion Medicine specialists from across the country to a common platform. The Conference is designed to be a perfect scientific feast to share and reflect entire spectrum of topics with emphasis on the current trends, recent advances, newer and changing approaches in the field of Transfusion Medicine with colossal, exuberant presence and deliberations by eminent faculty and experts from all over the country.

The Conference also offers unique scope for young scientists and Post Graduate students to share their research activities in the Transfusion Medicine from across the country to present and recognize their achievements in the form of oral and poster presentations. PG students will also have great learning opportunities through specially designed pre-conference workshops to be held on 10th November, 2022 and during Scientific Sessions.

Historically, Jammu was founded by Raja Jamboo Lochan and later remained the seat of Dogra Dynasty. Nestled against the backdrop of the scenic beauty of snow-capped Pir Panjal Mountains, Jammu – a land of grand ancient temples and beautiful palaces is also known as City of Temples. The Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi situated at Katra attracts devotees and pilgrims from all over the world. In addition, Jammu also offers plentiful sightseeing and attractive places like Raghunath Temple, Mubarak Mandi Palace, Bahu Fort and Bagh-e-Bahu Garden, Mansar and Surinsar Lakes, Amar Palace, Patnitop Hill station that will add to the pleasure of the event and provide lasting memories for the delegates.

ABOUT JAMMU

Jammu is the winter capital of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the headquarters and the largest city in Jammu district of the union territory. Lying on the banks of the river Tawi, the city of Jammu is surrounded by the Himalayas in the north and the northern-plains in the south. Two battles have been fought in the city: the first in 1712 and the second in 1808.

Known as the City of Temples for its ancient temples and Hindu shrines, Jammu is the most visited place in the union territory. Jammu city shares its borders with the neighbouring Samba district.
